DA SKAGIT

IT IS ALWAYS A TREAT TO GO TO SEATTLE WITH YOUR ANGEL MOTHER. NML'S WESTERN MEETINGS WERE TERRIFIC. CLIENT VISITS WERE FUN AND EXCITING. FISHING ON THE FABLED SKAGIT RIVER WITH RENOWNED STEELHEAD GUIDE, MIKE KENNEY AND MY SPECIAL FRIEND, BERT KINGHORN WAS PRICELESS.

HERE IS A SHOT OF MIKE AND ME THAT BERT TOOK WHILE ON THE SKAGIT.

AND HERE IS A PHOTO OF MIKE, BERT AND ME AT THE CLEARWATER SPEY CLAVE IN 2007 AT OROFINO, IDAHO.

SBJ WILL HAVE SOME PIX FOR FACEBOOK IN A WHILE. GOTTA LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR! LUV...pops

Bragging just a bit

Just wanted to share that Greg was put on the Dean's list for the College of Social Science & Public Affairs at BSU. Pretty sweet eh? He's been working really hard, so it's nice to get that little pat on the back.

Adding to the treasury

Mignon and I had a laugh about these pictures just the other day. I keep them framed side-by-side on a shelf. There's something similar there, eh?

These pictures remind me that Greg and I got a pretty good start. Here's to many more happy years for you two and us.

Happy anniversary, Dad and Mom!!

AN ADDITIONAL TREASURE

Pretty Dang Cute!

JUST REMEMBERED ANOTHER PICTURE I HAD IN MY WALLET - ONE OF YOUR HOTTIE MOM A FEW MONTHS AFTER OUR MARRIAGE, TAKEN WHEN WE BECAME DORM PARENTS FOR 120 YOUNG LADIES IN HERITAGE HALLS.
SBJ GOT THE JOB. I JUST WAS ALONG FOR THE RIDE AND THE
ON-CAMPUS PARKING PASS (tee-hee).

SOMETHING VERY VERY SPECIAL

SWEET BETTY JO - JUNIOR PROM - 1965

SWEET BETTY JO - 1968
BUHL HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION

ANNIVERSARY
'Twas a grey winter's morning in '71; snowing and blowing and all sorts of fun.
The roads were quite icy, visibility poor; yet I was ecstatic - that was for sure!
It was off to the "The Falls"...Wade, Marty and me; nothing would stop Divine destiny.
Driving was terrible, frightful and slow; yet somehow we made it, the town was aglow.
Temple by the River...a sight to behold on a bleak blustery day with weather so cold.
I raced through the doorway, upset to be late, wound up and ready, but was told I must wait.
As fate would have it, my papers lack Bishop and President signing the back.
They were both there (hallelujah!) and took care of that deed; so I raced and got dressed. Made the Session with speed.
We met at the Veil. She melted my heart. Then married and sealed - an Eternal start.
Your Angel Mother! My Sweet Betty Jo!! Thank you my Darling!!! I love you so!!!!
xoxo

Security Question

I was wondering what everybody thought about having this a private blog. When we set the blog up originally, we wanted it private so if there was any personal info, not everyone in the world could find it. There is a problem having it private though. If anyone posts anything, you actually have to go to the site to see if anything is new. If it is not private you can use services like Google reader or even email to get any updates or posts that people make to the blog. The blog is currently set to not be listed on blogger and can not be searched for by search engines. This means the only way to get to the blog is if you know the exact address of it. If everyone removes the link on their own private blogs, no outsiders would have access and we could get updates. You would still have to login to post a comment though. It was just a thought I had & was wondering what everyone thought about it.

Bowron Lakes

Ok! So I have been dreaming of returning to the beautiful Bowron Lakes Provincial Park in British Columbia for about a decade now. I am inviting YOU to come. I am organizing a group that can be no larger than 14 people. I am also sending an invitation to more than 14 people (assuming married couples are interested in canoeing). A number of people are already interested so here is how I will favor YOU over the other guy:

Pay up! Its only $60 a person and I am not loaning any money when I make the reservation. Cancellation fees are only $6 if cancelled 21 days in advance.

Now as far as when I am making the reservation . . . I am totally open to suggestions. To be safe, we will give ourselves 9 days to do everything including driving. I want to do it in July; that’s my suggestion: good weather and longer days. I’m guessing you are going to want to know a definitive date before forking up any dough, so here is how I pick your date over the other guy:

Call me soon! I plan on making a reservation by the end of January, so if I hear from you and can tell that you are as excited to see the moose and loons and eat raw trout as I am, then I will be all the more persuaded to pick your week.

There is a family reunion in August, and I am going to find out what dates are out of the question. Click here and here to see some websites with pictures of the park. You can also look up the park on You Tube.

Enthusiasts must read this link. It has all the info you will ever need on prices, essential equipment, and bear ninja techniques (not to be confused with ninja bear techniques).
