Hey I want to read or listen to the Harry Potter books. Does anyone have the books or the CD's that I can borrow?
And for those of you who have done both which way is better, reading or listening?
Thanks,
Jana

Mom and Dad have all of the Harry Potter's on CD... I suggest listening~ the narrator is AWESOME, although there is nothing that beats sitting down to turn some great pages to a great book.
ReplyDeleteJana, yes we do have the CDs, but they are packed somewhere. Remind me in 6 months. They are really fun to listen to. I wish I had them where I could find them...I would love to lone them to you. It's great to hear from you! Mom Q
ReplyDeleteI've read and listened to all the books a few times. Jim Dale is the narrator and he is the best at doing audio books that I've ever heard. If mom can't unbury the CD's I'd recomend going to the public library. It's such a popular book that they always have several copies and they're free to rent for as long as you'd like.

Hey Jana - I don't have the cd's, but I really enjoyed listening while I read along. The narrator, Jim Dale, is the BEST ever. He really is fun to listen to. I just like to read along when I can because I tend to internalize the story better when I can visualize. You will love them.
ReplyDeleteDitto to what the others said. Jim Dale is by far the best audio book narrator. Jordan didn't want to read the books but I got him hooked on the audio. It is an easy way to get through big books. You can listen while you do practically anything. I usually read them first and then listen, but either way will be amazing. The books are way better than the movies.
ReplyDeleteJana-I actually have them all on cassette. Right-probably obsolete- but you're welcome to borrow them if you want. I never actually read the books. I listened from day one and it is awesome! Added bonus- you get to do other things while you are "reading"! BRILLIANT!!!!!

Thanks everybody!
ReplyDeleteI think I will go with Morgan's idea and get them from the library... That sounds like the quickest and most free option.
