Merry Christmas!!

Yep, that's right! As illustrated in the picture above, Baby #4 is on the way!!! Jenny is about 2.5 months pregnant. It's been hard to keep this one a secret with all the baby talk in the air. We're glad to finally get the news out. Holding Baby Will, having Melinda pregnant, and now with Morgan and Bethany's news of their first one on the way, we could hardly stand it. We hope you all have had a most wonderful Christmas! We love you all and are looking forward to seeing most of you on New Years.
Love,
Bry & Jen

IT'S THE 1ST "EMPTY NESTER" CHRISTMAS!

Yo Fam...

It's pretty quiet in this 'ole house without you kids. But your angel mother has things looking pretty sweet. The stairs were a little less crowded, yet the excitement was just as high. SBJ's "ciminum rolls" rocked the planet. The fire was warm - and so are our hearts. And yes, Santa did drop by.

Merry Christmas to you all! We love you dearly...Mom and Pops

William Ted Quigley is here!

Brit set a new hospital record for speedy delivery after being induced. She received Pitocin at 7:30 AM and Will was born at 8:20 AM! The little guy met harsh reality immediately when his umbilical cord wrapped around his throat and prevented his breathing and blood flow. He came out completely blue and didn't breath for the first full minute. After about 45 seconds and no response, me, the doctor, and all seven of the nurses were beginning to get a bit anxious, but when I turned to Brit and asked, "How you doing babe?" She calmly responded, "He'll be fine." She was right. His perfect Eli-clone cry split the silence within seconds of her declaration and life began for the little guy. He spent his first three hours in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit for precautionary purposes, but within 30 minutes of taking his first breath became pink and beautiful. Brit had a dream that Will was black and hairy - turns out he was blue and blond . . .

7 pounds 14 ounces plus 20.5 inches long makes him the runt of our family so far. He nursed without any problems and cuddled everybody who held him throughout his first day without any fussiness. In fact the first time we heard his voice after the labor and delivery room was when he cood upon meeting his big sister.
Thanks to all the local family who came to share in this beautiful day. It's awesome to have you close and know that you love my kids as much as I do. Thanks Nons and Reese for the beautiful roses for my woman. I don't know why, but it's comforting knowing that there are so many that love him in this world, even though he's brand new to it. Also a special thanks to Mom Larsen for sacrificing her last work week to help out with Em and Eli (we'll try not to let your joy leak back to your principal).

PS. Eli was forbidden to bring any batons into the mother and baby section of the hospital, but he did the best he could with what he had - his arm. I love the innocence on his face and the expression on Brit's. Once again, priceless.

The Best Gift...

It's official...
Will's Birthday will be Monday, December 17th!!!
I went to the doctor yesterday and he said I had progressed sufficiently to schedule me to be induced on Monday morning at 7:00am. (If he doesn't see me before.) So be expecting a call sometime that day to find out about the arrival of the newest Quigley. We are really excited and I have been really thankful to beable to plan so Em and Eli are taken care of. (My mom will be out on Sunday night and can stay all week.) Garth has his last order day on Tuesday the 18th so he will get done just in time to take us home from the hospital. It has been great timing, just enough to get everything done we need to over the weekend but not too long to wait till we get to meet the boy! Then we get to sit back and enjoy the best Christmas gift we could have ever hoped for. We still don't plan on going anywhere over the break so we are really going to miss out on alot. Don't have too much fun without us and know that there is an open invitation to anyone who wants to visit at anytime!!!
We love you all!!
Brit

Thanks everybody who helped.

I just wanted to thank those who called, prayed, and helped in any other way with my surgery last week. Its been a bit of a roller coaster pain wise but I'm now walking mostly without crutches. Now we just need to cross our fingers and hope that the nail is in correctly so as to minimize long term pain.
As some of you know my Dr. let me keep the nail and screws that he took out and I think they are freaking amazing. Especially knowing that they were in my body a week ago. Here are some pics of them. The long rod is actually called a nail and the screws look like they picked them up at the local Ace hardware but of course they weren't and instead of costing a couple cents, they cost me several thousand dollars.

FYI - Cabin Invite

Hey fam, just wanted to let you all know that we are headed up to Island Park to stay with Morgan and Bethany in her family cabin. We will arrive evening of Wednesday, December 19th and go home on Saturday, December 22nd. Just wanted to invite all who would be interested.

It's WHACK to be a big sister.

It's hard not to laugh. My favorite part is the sheer enthusiasm in Eli's voice when he discovers what was once lost under the bed. "There it is!" Classic footage compliments of Brit.
